- True. Both procedures can be completed in the same visit. In fact, we often perform bonding and contouring together in the same visit, improving the esthetics and sometimes the function of a patient’s teeth.
- True. If you have a chipped tooth we can apply a composite resin to the tooth to restore the missing structure. We use the same material in our metal-free fillings. Composite resin can be shaded to better blend with your smile. After applying the material, we will cure it under a light sculpting, it in the process. We will then polish the material for a more natural looking appearance.
- True. With contouring, we remove structure by gently buffing away a minuscule layer of enamel. In the process, we remove unsightly pits or grooves in the tooth surface. We can also dull overly pointed teeth and reshape malformed teeth.
- True. We recommend repairing damaged teeth because otherwise the compromised enamel can increase the risk of tooth decay and eventually, dental infection forming. If you have any questions about dental bonding, then please contact our office today.
